Ashley is a dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner that began her nursing career in 2013. She has gained extensive experience caring for patients across high-acuity medical settings, including emergency and critical care, before transitioning into psychiatric practice. She has developed expertise in addiction medicine, treatment-resistant mood disorders, and working with underserved populations.

She advocates a holistic approach to mental health care, integrating healthy lifestyle practices alongside evidence-based medical treatment. Ashley is deeply committed to treating every patient with dignity, respect, and compassion, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and understood throughout their care journey.

Ashley is passionate about the evolving role of psychedelic and ketamine-assisted treatments in mental health care and the unique opportunities these therapies may offer for healing, insight, and personal growth. She believes these treatments can help individuals deepen self-understanding, explore underlying contributors to emotional suffering, and create space for meaningful change when integrated with evidence-based psychiatric care and psychotherapy.

Makayla A., PMHNP-BC — Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Makayla has been a dedicated nurse since 2017, with a diverse background in various nursing specialties, including operating room nursing, PACU nursing, and both inpatient medical and psychiatric nursing. Her most recent experience was in the field of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), where she gained valuable insight into the intricate relationship between mental and physical health.

With a deep passion for mental well-being, Makayla takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She believes in getting to know each individual and creating a space where they feel heard and supported. As a nurse practitioner, she is committed to advocating for mental health awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health disorders.

Jewel V. — Nurse Supervisor

Jewel is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has been working in the medical field since 2017. Her medical background is in inpatient rehab and substance use treatment. Jewel’s goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their mental health journey. In recognition of Jewel’s efforts to go the extra mile for both our patients and the clinic itself, Jewel was promoted to the role of nurse supervisor. At New Pathways Clinic, Jewel leads by example with the creation of new protocols and efficiencies and by instilling in her colleagues the importance of treating every patient with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Tiyana R. — RN

Tiyana has worked in the medical field since 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University and has four years of experience as an RN. Her background includes medical-surgical, telemetry, and inpatient behavioral health, providing care to individuals in crisis. Tiyana has loved everything about the human mind since she can remember and believes in treating each person as a whole. New Pathways Clinic aligns with her mission of providing a holistic approach to aid in individuals’ overall well-being. Olivia W. — RN

Olivia has worked in the medical field since 2018. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Rio Grande and has over 5 years of experience as an RN. Her background includes emergency medicine, medical-surgical, telemetry, and clinical education.

Olivia actively seeks out new knowledge regarding behavioral health and is eager to help patients with mental health crises using a holistic approach. She has strong beliefs in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel empowered, supported, and hopeful throughout their healing journey.

Brielle is our medical office manager and a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Health Information Management and Systems; she has obtained credentials as a Registered Health Information Administrator. Brielle has always been passionate about healthcare and has been working in the medical field since the start of 2018. From the moment you walk in the door you’re greeted with kinda and compassionate people. Every nurse I have worked with has made me feel comfortable from the moment I met them which is very important for an experience like this. They helped me gain composure and control over that which I had lost and if not for them, I probably would have lost my job, too. All of their staff is incredibly understanding and kind. They do their best, really, they do. I especially appreciate one of their NP’s, Ashley for taking the time to answer questions, explain processes and procedures, and overall, just being really understanding and compassionate and empathetic. After years of trying different medications with little success I began to feel like I had problems that just weren't fixable. I was reluctant to call New Pathways because I heard about Ketamine and bought into all the negative stigma surrounding it. I came to a consultation and laid everything out. I learned things about myself in that session that I was never aware of in years of treatments. But I was still not convinced and went home not calling them again for six more months. Then my life was just so consumed by stress and anxiety and frustration that I called and went back to the office and set up appointments for Ketamine Infusions. I was extremely nervous at my first infusion appointment and the staff was more than understanding and showed nothing but kindness and compassion towards me. I had Dianna as my one on one nurse and she was the VERY BEST! I think they could charge extra for having her in there because she was such a benefit. She answered every question I had and gave insight the best she could into what I may experience and how to maneuver through mentally. After my infusion I felt completely refreshed and rejuvenated! The days afterwards and the infusions that followed only solidified my position. I have not been able to count all the benefits that my life has had since beginning therapy here. Every time I go for an appointment I feel completely at home. I cannot thank the kind staff of New Pathways enough. If anyone is reading this and is on the fence wether to call them or not, please do yourself the favor and call. You deserve to receive what this treatment has to offer!!
