New Pathways Clinic Opens Toledo Location, Expanding to Five Clinics Across Ohio

New Pathways Clinic is expanding its presence across Ohio with the opening of a new location in Maumee, bringing its approach to advanced mental health treatment to patients throughout the Toledo area and Northwest Ohio.

Located at 1657 Holland Rd., Suite A, in Maumee, Ohi,, the clinic marks New Pathways’ fifth Ohio location. The organization also operates clinics serving the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati regions.

The Maumee location expands access to New Pathways’ mental health services for patients in Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, Sylvania and surrounding Northwest Ohio communities.

“Expanding into Northwest Ohio was a natural next step for New Pathways as we continue working to make advanced mental health treatment more accessible across the state,” said Steve Suntala, Executive Director of New Pathways Clinic. “The Maumee location gives us an opportunity to serve patients throughout the Toledo area who may be looking for additional options after traditional approaches have not provided the relief they need.”

New Pathways specializes in innovative ketamine therapy treatment options for patients living with depression and other mental health conditions, particularly those who have struggled to find sufficient relief through traditional approaches such as medication and psychotherapy.

The clinic’s services include IV ketamine infusions for conditions including treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar depression. New Pathways also offers Spravato, an FDA-approved esketamine nasal spray for eligible patients with treatment-resistant depression, as well as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and additional patient support services.

Treatment plans are developed around each patient’s health history, symptoms, previous treatments and individual needs. New Pathways emphasizes a patient-centered approach that combines emerging mental health treatments with clinical oversight, ongoing evaluation and broader mental health care.

Expanding Access to Ketamine Therapy in Northwest Ohio

The Maumee clinic represents another step in New Pathways’ continued expansion across the state and establishes the organization’s first location in Northwest Ohio.

Its location on Holland Road provides a new option for patients throughout Lucas County and neighboring communities who may be exploring ketamine therapy, Spravato or other approaches after previous mental health treatments have not provided sufficient relief.

“Patients coming to our Maumee location can expect the same individualized, supportive approach to care that guides everything we do at New Pathways,” Suntala said. “We want people in Northwest Ohio to have access to the same level of personalized care and innovative treatment options we provide throughout the state.”

The expansion comes as ketamine and esketamine have become increasingly established options within the broader mental health treatment landscape, particularly for certain patients whose symptoms have persisted despite conventional treatment.

New Pathways evaluates prospective patients individually to determine whether ketamine therapy, Spravato or another available treatment may be appropriate. The clinic’s approach emphasizes appropriate patient screening, clinical monitoring and ongoing communication throughout treatment.
